...I know, Subtitle Edit is for Windows only. There's Aegisub, of course but I'm not a great fan. There's another app for Mac called Subtitle Edit Pro. Very simple tool but it works. There's a one time fee thou like $30. You can also free trial Ooona's tools, Translate and Translate Pro. I love them. Then you can buy them weekly, whenever you need. If this is going to be your profession, I kindly suggest you work with the best possible tool you can afford, even though you're a newbie. Good luck :)
